Dr. Kehl was born in Ashland, OH and raised in Warner Robins, GA. He attended Duke University graduating with a degree in Psychology. Subsequently, he enrolled in the Masters of Education program at Mercer University and briefly taught and coached in Warner Robins. He then earned his Master’s Degree in Anatomy and Doctorate of Medicine from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA. He completed specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, VA, prior to returned to Macon, GA to begin private practice in 1986. Dr. Kehl practiced Obstetrics and Gynecology for over 20 years but now concentrates on office Gynecology, hormonal balance/replacement therapy, and medically supervised weight loss.
Dr. Kehl is married with two daughters, three grandchildren, and two dogs. He is a proud member of Ingleside Baptist Church and enjoys traveling domestically, hiking, college football and basketball, and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Barnes has been in practice since 1995 and is a graduate of Duke University and the Medical College of Georgia. He completed OB/GYN residency at Wake Forest. His father and grandfather were both OB/GYN physicians as well. He and his wife have 9 children, 7 girls and 2 boys. They currently have 9 grandchildren. Dr. Barnes is also the medical director for Core Solutions Pregnancy Center. He is a passionate soccer and Duke basketball fan. Dr. Barnes was instrumental in bringing 24/7 midwifery care to middle Georgia and serves as one of our collaborative physicians for women with high risk pregnancies and those needing cesarean sections.
Dr. Durso has been in practice since 2001. He is a graduate of the University of Miami and completed his residency at the Medical Center of Central Georgia. Dr. Durso and his wife have 4 children. He is a passionate reader and music fan and enjoys video games in his spare time. Dr. Durso played a large role in the establishment of Midwives of Macon and serves as one of our collaborative physicians, providing women with higher risk pregnancies the expertise and reassurance needed for a healthy pregnancy.
Dr. Ekeledo has been in practice since 2022. She is a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia and completed her residency at the Medical Center of Central Georgia. Dr. Ekeledo and her husband, who is also a physician, have 2 children. She loves spending time with her family. Dr. Ekeledo is a 3rd generation OBGYN and a 4th generation doctor. She loves getting to work side by side with her father, Dr. Barnes. She serves as one of our collaborative physicians, providing women with higher risk pregnancies the expertise and reassurance needed for a healthy pregnancy.
Jeri has been a nurse since 1976 and graduated from Emory as a midwife in 1997. She is married to her high school sweetheart and they have two children and four grandchildren. She is passionate about UGA football. Jeri has a gift for developing strong lifelong bonds with her patients and loves helping women have the childbirth experience they desire. Jeri was the first and only midwife for many years and was instrumental in the formation of Midwives of Macon. Jeri has practiced Obstetrics and Gynecology for over 18 years but now concentrates on office Gynecology.
Amanda has been a nurse since 2010 and graduated from Frontier Nursing University in 2021. She and her husband have 2 children. She loves the outdoors and enjoys spending time around her farm. She loves supporting women through pregnancy and childbirth and taking care of them throughout their lifespan.
Jessica has been a nurse since 2005 graduating from Georgia College and State University. She went on to pursue her dream of midwifery after working as a labor and delivery nurse. She graduated from Frontier Nursing University as a certified nurse midwife in 2012. She and her husband have 2 daughters and they all enjoy camping and all outdoor activities. She is an avid crafter and loves being creative.
Allie has been a nurse midwife for nearly 7 years. She began her journey into midwifery as a nurse in labor and delivery here in Macon and practiced here in Macon for a short time before moving to Fayetteville. Allie is thrilled to be back in the Macon area with her husband and their two boys. In her spare time Allie enjoys spending time outside with her boys and traveling to the beach!
Jordan has been a nurse since 2015, graduating from Wesleyan College, where she was part of the first nursing cohort. After spending two years as an ER nurse, she started working in labor and delivery where she found her passion caring for and supporting women through pregnancy and childbirth. Jordan graduated from Georgia College and State University as a certified nurse midwife in 2023. She and her husband have three children together. She loves to get lost in a good romance/mystery novel, travel (preferably near water) and spend time with her family.
