Empowering Women with Midwives of Macon

When to schedule the first visit

We typically offer an initial prenatal consult visit between 6 to 10 weeks gestation. This interval may vary based on availability. Call our office at 478-743-3454 to make your appointment!

The First Visit

At the first prenatal consult visit, we review a comprehensive health history, perform a dating ultrasound, review recommended visit frequency for your particular pregnancy based upon risk factors, discuss and draw lab work and review practice information.

Evidence-Based Care

We provide evidence-based care that is supported by the latest research and guidelines. We can work with you to create a birth plan that is tailored to your individual needs and preferences, while also ensuring the safety of you and your baby.

Inclusive Care

We provide inclusive care to women and families of all backgrounds and identities. We respect and honor each person's unique needs and preferences, and strive to create a safe and welcoming environment for all.

Natural Pain Relief

We can discuss a variety of natural pain relief options to help you cope with labor and delivery if you prefer to avoid the epidural! These options include movement, relaxation techniques, massage, and more. There are also many great doula's who support our patients in the area!

Postpartum Planning

It's important to plan for your postpartum recovery and support. We offer postpartum planning to help you prepare for the physical, emotional, and practical aspects of the postpartum period. This includes creating a support network, planning for self-care, and more.
