Ultrasonography

Ultrasounds are performed here in office! These can be used for pelvic pain, monitoring ovarian cysts, viewing uterine fibroids, measuring the growth of baby and so much more! Ultrasounds are painless and noninvasive. 

With pregnancy, there are typically two ultrasounds that occur. The initial look occurs at the first prenatal consult visit and we measure baby's growth and listen to the heartbeat! You will get some photos to take home with you! The second ultrasound that occurs in pregnancy is the anatomy ultrasound. This is an overall survey of baby and can help reassure us on baby's wellbeing or alert us to potential problems. This is also the visit where the gender is revealed if you wish to do that! You will also get photos at this visit to take home with you! If there are problems or complications of pregnancy, occasionally additional ultrasounds or testing is recommended.
